Stylus This album contains live recordings made during the 2002 reformation tour and features the original Stylus members, Peter Cupples, Ronny Peers, Sam McNally, Ashley Henderson along with their new drummer, the remarkable David Jones. Formed in 1975 Stylus released several albums including Where in the World?, For the Love of Music, The Best Kept Secret and Part of It All. Although they were one of the few Australian groups to be playing white soul they still managed to achieve a number of hit singles and were very popular on the pub and concert circuit supporting acts such as Focus, Ike and Tina Turner, Sherbet and George Benson. The singles Summer Breeze and World of Make Believe in July and October of 1975 are two of their best known songs. With their distinctive soul sound they became the only Australian band to sign to Motown Records and had a shot at the US market. This CD recaptures the music that made them a success and shows that they are still some of Australia’s greatest music makers. |

Cash Backman 30 Years On the long awaited new CD from a legendary figure in Australian country music. This album was originally recorded in 1996 but left unfinished as Cash moved to live in Coffs Harbour. Studio 52 kept the masters on hold hoping for the chance to complete this great album. It wasnt till late 2000 that the masters came out of the vault and additional recording was undertaken with producer Mick Hamilton. In 2001 the album was remixed and tweaked with Engineer/Producer Trevor Carter. Its been a long wait but its really worth it, 30 Years On is a real songwriters album featuring some of Cashs best work to date. |
