Stylus
“Still Alive”

This album contains live recordings made during the 2002 reformation tour and features the original Stylus members, Peter Cupples, Ronny Peers, Sam McNally, Ashley Henderson along with their new drummer, the remarkable David Jones.
Formed in 1975 Stylus released several albums including Where in the World?, For the Love of Music, The Best Kept Secret and Part of It All. Although they were one of the few Australian groups to be playing white soul they still managed to achieve a number of hit singles and were very popular on the pub and concert circuit supporting acts such as Focus, Ike and Tina Turner, Sherbet and George Benson. The singles Summer Breeze and World of Make Believe in July and October of 1975 are two of their best known songs.
With their distinctive soul sound  they became the only Australian band to sign to Motown Records and had a shot at the US market. This CD recaptures the music that made them a success and shows that they are still some of Australia’s greatest music makers.
